At Rollertech we offer a range of tooling solutions, including expandable grinding plugs, external collets, extension sockets and reducing sleeves, all designed specifically to assist the grinding and manufacture of rubber rollers.

Expandable Grinding Plugs

Our range of expandable grinding plugs is the perfect solution grinding tube type rollers.

The unique design enables to manufacture tube rollers to very accurate dimensions - with extremely close tolerances.

When the plug enters into the tube and pressure is applied, they expand to form a concentric fit to the roller end. Because they mimic the fitting of a bearing seated into the same position – you can be sure the roller would fit the bearings fitted by the end user or by the roller manufacturer.

Each piece is machined .03mm below the actual size of the bore.

Each component is machined as a bespoke item to ensure all tolerances are met.

Please note: there is a hardening charge for each consignment.

External collets for grinding

External collets hold the external ends of rollers around the bearing seats to mimic the bearing. This enables to grind rubber rollers whilst holding close tolerances.

External collets are available in two sizes as follow:

• ER32 Box set, which includes 18 pieces ranging from 3mm up to 20mm in diameter and comes a 4 morse taper tool holder
• ER40 Box set, which includes 23 pieces ranging from 4mm up to 26mm in diameter and come complete with a 5 morse tool holder

Reducing sleeves

All extension sockets and reducing sleeves are precision ground both internally and externally, hardened and tempered.
