The unique business of rubber roller production has different requirements of its technical and business administration software.
Renowned European rubber roller producer, Kraiburg Walzenfertigung GmbH, evaluated a number of popular standard PPS and ERP software but found them unable to cover all the special needs of the rubber roller manufacturing industry.
As a result the company, working with software development company Winfo Data GmbH, instigated a two-year project to develop a sophisticated software package for the rubber roller industry.
This comprehensive system is now offered to your company as a complete package, which includes the software, implementation and on site training of your employees.
The business administration part of the software usually starts with creating a new offer to a customer.
Depending on all the different technical parameters of the rubber rollers, i.e. new or refurbished, the system calculates the materials, preparation and manufacturing times for each working step, plus fixed costs, variable costs, profit and so on. It then creates an offer which can be printed out or sent by fax or email.
This offer can be transferred to orders, delivery notes or invoices. Also the procurement of materials, which might be calculated automatically, is part of the business module of the software. Both parts (business and technical administration) are fully integrated. An interface to external accounting software is also available.
Depending on the technical order confirmation, the orders and the working processes - e.g. remove old roller cover, preparing, confection, heating, grinding, grooving, quality control, ready for delivery - can automatically be displayed on the different screens at the production machines. Alternatively they can be prioritised by the production manager first.
The result is excellent control over the capacity of the different production-machines.
To record the real working times (as part of the final calculation), employees can logon and logoff an order at each process.
A working process can be paused or marked as finished. The finished processes are then handed over to the next step of production automatically. The time recording module of the software stores the production process times as well as the non-productive times. All time recordings are also displayed in monthly statistics.
An integral part of the software package is a complaint management tool. The complaint data can also be exported to Excel for further analyses.
The software package includes a variety of standard reports and statistics that can be customised to meet the user's specific needs. These include; list of offers, list of orders, order backlogs, orders of materials from suppliers, backlogs from suppliers, external production, valuation of semi finished products, heating programs, heating protocols, inventory, working processes per machine, additional cost orders, post production calculation, production lists, quality control protocols, complaints, statistics for each working process, monthly statistics (time recording, output).
Winfo Data GmbH provides a remote maintenance service via the Internet. In other words the support offered is like having software engineers on-site.
